Summer School of Flow Cytometry

What is the Summer School ?

The Italian Branch of ESCCA is proud to present its Summer School, an educational activity which represents the answer to the many requests expressed by its members.

This year the Summer School consists in three courses lasting five days, all of them dedicated to Italian students (Local Courses), and therefore held in Italian.

  • Multicolor approach to the study of the hematopoietic and immune systems
Holiday farmhouse of Fréscina (Pesaro–Urbino, Italy)
    16 – 20 June 2014
  • International Course inf Basic Cytometry
    Urbino University (Italy)
    7 – 11 July 2014
  • Flow Cytometry in Onco-Hematology
Holiday farmhouse of Fréscina (Pesaro–Urbino, Italy)
    1 – 5 September 2014

The first Course will deal with the cytometric approach to the study of the normal hematopoietic and immune systems, the second Course will cover all the aspects of Basic Cytometry, making the attendants ready to face a Cytometry Certification Examination, and the third Course will deal with the topics related to cytometric diagnosis in Onco-Hematology.

The first (Immunology and Hematology) and the third Course (Onco-Hematology) will be held in a holiday farmhouse close to Urbino, in the middle of the country. The second Course (Basic Cytometry) will take place in Urbino, a lovely Renaissance town in the middle of Italy. The lessons will be held in the classrooms of the local University; hands on exercises will be scheduled in the University’s laboratories equipped with sorters and analyzers, and computer rooms will be available for lessons on data analysis.
